Stellantis Recalls Citroen C3 and DS3 Models Over Faulty Takata Airbags Following Fatal Crash
Stellantis (STLA) has issued a stop-drive recall for 82,000 Citroen C3 and DS3 vehicles in France due to defective Takata airbags. The action follows a June 11 fatal accident involving a 2014 Citroen C3, prompting the French transport ministry to demand immediate removal of affected vehicles from roads.
The recall adds to Stellantis' ongoing Takata airbag replacement program, which has already repaired 481,000 of 690,000 affected vehicles in France. Full compliance WOULD bring the total to 563,000 remedied units.
This marks the latest in a series of 2025 recalls for Stellantis, including 235,640 Ram ProMaster vans with faulty rearview cameras and 48,494 Alfa Romeo/Dodge SUVs with similar issues.
